China’s December is gorgeous with the amazing view all over the country. The weather is dry and chili. Rainy, windy and cloudy days give you reasons to travel to China. If you want to enjoy the snow, the fantastic view, I recommended you the top 3 China festivals in December.

The prices are very low and you can save a lot of money. I hope that I can persuade you about the winter holiday. The first which I want to present is the Christmas holiday in Beijing. The second famous event is also the Christmas but in Shanghai. The third is the Thanksgiving tradition in China…….

The Christmas is not a public holiday, but for the younger generation it comes more and more popular. Unlike the European people, they work during the holiday, but there are some companies or factories which have several days off to celebrate Christmas. The most registered activities: the Christmas dinner or buffet, Christmas shopping and choir at churches.

Usually, the 4 or 5 star hotels launch special Christmas Eve dinners, serving pie, ham and turkey but you can shop Christmas foods in supermarkets or store. During the Christmas, many shopping malls and stores launch promotions. The most important elements of the Christmas are the Christmas tree which you can buy at flower markets such as: Beijing Lai Tai Flower Trade Center or Tianyi Small Goods Wholesale Market.

 

There are over 11 churches in Beijing from Catholic to Christian, where are many activities mostly choirs. Choirs at the churches starts at 19:00 and lasts for 2 or 3 hours.

The Shanghai’s Christmas is same with the other China’s Christmas. They celebrate the holiday without much religious attachment. Many travelers want to celebrate a festive atmosphere. For these people the best place is at bars. Thousands of bars and bar streets take on a Christmas look such as: Hengshan Road, Maoming Road, Xintiandi and Julu Road.

 

It’s true that the best place for celebrating Christmas are in churches. There are many churches with Christmas Day mass. I collect a list with the most famous churches in Shanghai: Shanghai Community Church, St. Ignatius Cathedral, Moore Memorial Church and Shanghai Grace Baptist Church.

The Thanksgiving holiday originated in the United State of America and is catching on in China. Most American and Canadian people are celebrated in China, but sometimes teacher teaches kids about the holiday. The aim of the Thanksgiving holiday for thanking God for his blessings.

It is a day when the people giving thanks to their parents, friends and other people. The most significant dish is the turkey and the pumpkin pie. This event is taking time at evening. The whole family sits around the table and eating the most popular Thanksgiving foods.
